An attorney-client relationship is not created by merely contacting Mr. Cox.  An attorney-client relationship with Mr. Cox is created only by the signature by both Mr. Cox and a potential new client on a letter of engagement, which sets forth the terms and scope of the engagement of Mr. Cox as counsel.
